What an amazing day! It was the weekend of Lollapalooza which you would think… aaahhh!!! Crazy!! But it wasn’t! Kristina planned the day beautifully. The weather was perfect and so was the wedding. Wishing both of you a lifetime of happiness together.
What a day!! This was the first wedding ever where I’ve had to go down to the basement as a tornado was passing by. The wind was whipping. The rain was coming down sideways. And the ceremony was scheduled to be outside at Pamprin Park. Sadly Pamprin Park had no indoor backup option. The reception venue however, did come to the rescue. Vandervest Olde 41 quickly accommodated the wedding party by setting up for the ceremony that was to take place in just a couple of hours. They also had an amazing outdoor space for photos(the rain stopped! woo!!). You handled everything like a champ Leah. Hoping you and Drew have a lifetime of happiness together.

Another perfect wedding in the books. May has been so incredibly rainy… I was watching the storms on the radar on my way to Springfield and was so pleased to see that they were going to move on through before I even got there. Can I just point out Anna’s shoes? Wow!! I mean the whole wedding was just wow! The sun came out… it was warm… and we had Chick-Fil-A for dinner!! Yeah that’s right! Spicy Chicken! Check out the gorgeous Anna and TJ below…
While it’s storming out today, Stephanie had a master plan for her wedding photos. We took them on a completely different day from the wedding! Rain was a threat all week leading up to the big photo session, so she found us Union Station to take our photos. What an amazing spot! Rain or shine, this is a great location. We got lucky and there was no rain so we also got some shots on the bridge. Two days after this session, Stephanie and Robert had the party of all parties. More to come!
Happiness! Everything about these photos oozes happiness. Emily is my second bride to be now that had me take her senior photos way back when. Can’t wait for the wedding Em!
Congratulations to Nicole and Wade! This couple put so much heart and soul into every last detail of this wedding. Here are just a few shots from throughout the day. I will most certainly post more once their wedding is fully edited. The details were just amazing. There were many stops on this wedding day, from downtown Elkhorn, to Lake Geneva, to the grounds around the Grand Geneva where the reception was held. Flowers by Treasure Hut Flowers. Video by Hunter Floyd. Hair and makeup by The Well Spa. Cake designed by the bride herself and executed by The Grand Geneva.
I wanted to share some more from Megan and Joe’s wedding. The details were so much fun!
What a way to start the 2019 wedding season! Joe and Megan had just the most fantastic wedding. The entire event took place at Carnivale in Chicago and had a vintage circus/carnival theme. This was my first wedding at Carnivale and I really hope to return again. So colorful! And both the inside and outside were amazing for photos. So in the event of rain, no worries. We, however, had an amazing spring day. You have to check it out. Makeup but Chanelle Makeup Artistry. Dress by Lace and Liberty in LA. Flowers by Cattails.
Today is gross and rainy, but I’m taking you all back to Ben and Christine’s amazing country wedding. Both being in the horse industry, it was only natural for Christine to arrive in a horse drawn carriage. Oak Hill was the perfect venue. The details were amazing.
Happy Wedding Wednesday! Today is a beautiful spring day to share Halie and David’s gorgeous Naperville wedding. It may look all warm and sunny, but this bride was the real MVP. Pretty sure it was somewhere around 30 degrees for this October wedding. We managed to crank out these photos in record time even though you’d never know it. The light was amazing, and the bride was not going to let the chill keep her from getting these amazing photos.
Ready for another amazing wedding?? This one was so amazing! Sunset cruise at Navy Pier was the backdrop for Becca and Andy. Everything was absolutly perfect. Most of our bridal and getting ready shots took place in the Conrad Hotel. Amazing indoor location. The ceremony and reception took place on one of the Elite Yachts at Navy Pier. Flowers by Dirty Boots.
Another amazing wedding last year! MJ and Evan had to most perfect day. I shot this girl’s senior photos way back when… and now her wedding?!?! Time sure flies. So awesome to be able to spend this special day with her. Gorgeous bride!!
Ok… hands down the best first look I’ve seen. That’s all I managed to get through with this post only because the getting ready shots up through the first look were so amazing… If I kept going, I’d be posting over 100 photos. So perhaps another day I will share more from this wedding. Until then, just try not to get teary seeing this first look.
Trying to get caught up on blogging last years weddings and I of course had to get this one out there. Serena and Roberto had a small intimate wedding at The Dawson in Chicago. Everything was so beautiful. Serena looked amazing in her BHLDN gown as we took photos around The Rookery, the Board of Trade building, and just outside The Dawson. Take a look!
Thank god we took these photos before the negative temperatures and snow moved in. Chris and Kayla had some specific spots in the city they wanted photos… Chicago Theater, Kinzie St. bridge, and even the corner pub where they got engaged. I can’t wait for the wedding! They are getting married at Stan Mansion…. one of the first venues I ever shot a wedding in and haven’t been back since.
What an ending to 2018! Shannon and Alex threw the party of all parties on New Years Eve celebrating their marriage to each other. The weather was dreary and wet, but it was all warm and toasty on the inside. The entire event took place at the Marriott in Burr Ridge with a gorgeous black and gold color pallet. There were so many photos I wanted to share… this will have to be part one with more to come. Enjoy!
Brrrr….. It’s a winter wonderland outside… well, maybe a little cold for the “wonderland” part. Jen and Cole were hoping for a winter wonderland with their wedding last month. They got a light dusting of snow the night before and temperatures that were quite comfortable compared to what we have right now. I think we got pretty lucky. This was my first time at Adler Cultural Center in Libertyville and it was amazing! Especially if there is bad weather. The sunroom is so pretty for photos.
Hey everyone! I will be out of the country until Dec 1, with limited access to internet. I will return all messages once I return. Thank you!
