Feral Feline Project | Vernon Hills PetSmart

Occasionally I get the opportunity to photograph the kitties up for adoption at the Vernon Hills PetSmart for the Feral Feline Project. I love being able to try and help find homes for these kitties. It's always so sad to see them have to live in a cage. Especially the older cats as they take a while to get adopted.

This is Millie. She is about 4 years old and her owner gave her up because they had to travel a lot for work. Broke my heart. She loves cat treats, toys, and catnip. Such a sweet girl.

This is Nadya. This sweet kitty likes to sit on your lap, sleep in bed with you, and will follow you around like a puppy. She also loves playing with toys. She is all black with a few white hairs on her chest. She is 1-2 years old.

This is Grace. She is only 7 months old and is fun, loving and loves attention. She will sit in your lap and crawl all over  you.

Finally, we have Doc. He has quite a story. He was found outside of the Wheeling Police Department as a stray. His collar was imbedded into his neck because he had outgrown it and had been outside for a very long time. he was very sick and scared. He was slowly nursed back to health and has not lost his positive attitude. He loves everybody - cats and kids. Please consider taking him home with you so he can start life over again.
