Trying to get caught up on blogging last years weddings and I of course had to get this one out there. Serena and Roberto had a small intimate wedding at The Dawson in Chicago. Everything was so beautiful. Serena looked amazing in her BHLDN gown as we took photos around The Rookery, the Board of Trade building, and just outside The Dawson. Take a look!
Wow! Such a cool wedding! A wedding celebration that screamed Emmy and Sean. It took place at YMCA Camp Alexander in WI Rapids. A woodland theme... and everything about this wedding had a person touch from a friend or family member or a story behind it. SO many details and such great styling! I had to stop myself from editing anymore or the whole wedding would be done before I know it! Table settings were designed by Sean's mom and sister. Sean's mom spent her time collecting the crystal glasses and growing all of the succulents. The bouquets and boutonnieres came from the local farmers market. Benches for the ceremony were carved by the family. The save the date was even hand drawn by their 91 year old grandmother. So much love and care went into creating this wedding. LOVE it.
Happy New Year friends!! I'm all caught up with edits and am now trying to get caught up on blogging. What better way to start the new year than with the wedding of Shana and Jimmy?! Truly an amazing wedding to attend with so many great people. Shana and I go all the way back to the days of Preble High School playing basketball together. So many familiar faces at this wedding - from previous brides, to family session clients, to former classmates. We started out at Holy Cross Church up on Bay Settlement Road where Shana and her sisters went to school. What a view! After the ceremony, we took photos out in back of the church where we had a view of the bay. Gorgeous lighting for gorgeous people. After that, we headed for a few drinks behind Hagemeister Park on The CityDeck overlooking the Fox River. Downtown Green Bay has really changed! New and remodeled bars and restaurants popping up all over giving it a much more modern look. The reception was at the new event space for Titletown Brewing Co. They have bar with a walkout deck on the top floor for cocktails which was super cool. Down a floor was the reception space. Super warm and pretty with flowers from Divine Nature everywhere. So much fun being a part of this wedding.
Last month, we took a peek at Katie and Fede's Chicago wedding. It was smaller, intimate and classy. This month, they continue their celebration in Texas where Fede's family lives. It was a bit larger of a party but still very intimate and so beautiful! The party took place at the Cavasos' Ranch... and don't let the word ranch fool you. This is a family full of architects, and the home that Mr. Cavasos built on their 1100 acres was amazing. The perfect venue for the party. They worked so hard to have everything ready and perfect for the big day - even with the buckets of rain they were getting. I believe I heard Katie say she felt like she was in a movie as she greeted her friends. We were able to sneak off for some photos of the two just before guests arrived at sunset. It was so perfect.
I am so excited to share with you my time in Texas! Here is a little teaser until then...
My second wedding of 2015 was part one of Katie and Fede's celebration of marriage. Their wedding took place in Chicago on what was quite a nice day for April. The sun was shining and the temps were tolerable. We started the day off getting ready at Katie's parent's home. We were able to quickly stop at Lincoln Park on the way to the ceremony for a few shots of both the ladies and the men without Katie and Fede seeing each other. From there, we headed to the ceremony at St. Clement Church - a lovely church with beautiful lighting. Our little ring bearer kept us all entertained throughout as he made his way around the pews, took a nap on the steps, and even gave some high-fives during the blessing. He was cracking everyone up!... or at least me. =) The ceremony was an evening affair so we were not able to take photos outside. However we did take advantage of the church interior for a few. The reception was at Sepia Private Dining. The perfect space for Katie's color pallet. We had a lovely dinner for close friends and family and a sweets table to finish. Next month, we head to Laredo, TX for part two of this celebration. Fede's family is from down there and we are going to have another celebration on the family's ranch. I can't wait! Enjoy your preview Katie and Fede. I can't wait for May!
