My last local wedding of 2017! I've known this girl for years! She is the one responsible for my amazing various hair colors. =) So thankful that for one day, it did not rain. We just had to brave the cold. But we had hand warmers, and make good use of our time to keep everyone from becoming icicles. Autumn's entire wedding took place at the Westin in Wheeling. A mere 5min from my home. They have an amazing little pond for photos that leads into a forest preserve. Perfect! Here is a brief sampling from their gorgeous wedding day.
Tara and Luke kicked of the month of June wedding with this amazing celebration! Perfect weather, and one of the most beautifully put together weddings I've seen. I have to say, in addition to all of the amazing wedding party shots, I'm posting a bunch of the reception details. Peonies and eucalyptus leaves everywhere! This girl knows the way to my heart. AND!! Tara has spent her engagement collecting second-hand china for every place setting at the wedding. Amazing! Some of the vendors making this gorgeous event possible are Terrace 167 , flowers by Wood Violet, and makeup by Megan Holstine.
I don't post much... or anything really.. about the boudoir sessions I do. I do actually photograph these types of sessions. Most of my clients want to keep the images private for various reasons. I did however get permission to post this one, which I am thrilled about! So beautiful!
Another beautiful wedding in the books. The forecast called for rain and storms all day. While we were prepared with umbrellas, my little rain dance worked once again. It was gorgeous - no rain and the sun joined us towards the end. Erin and John's entire wedding celebration was held at Independence Grove in Libertyville, IL. Such a great venue for both ceremony and reception. We had all kinds of time built into our timeline for photos which allowed us to go to the other side of the lake. So thrilled to be able to do this and take advantage of the scenery on that side. Later on the wedding party joined us for a few more shots in the garden area. Enjoy this little teaser Erin and John while I get your entire gallery ready! Thank you so much for having me document such a beautiful day in your lives!
Such a beautiful day today! It inspired me to share with you how one wedding from last summer took the flowers into their own hands and you would never know because they looked amazing! Have you ever thought to ask your local farmers market florist to supply the flowers for your wedding? That's exactly what this couple did. Once they picked up the flowers, the groom's mother got to work crafting bouquets with a little bit of burlap and lace ribbon. For the ceremony, the aisle was lined with hanging mason jars filled with flowers. So simple and gorgeous! And I have to say, the flowers lasted all day long. Too often I see flowers wilt after just a couple of hours. So enjoy this little DIY wedding day flowers.
Ashley and I had such a great time photographing Jenny and Mike's wedding last weekend! Ashley started with the boys in downtown Waukesha, which turns out is the birth place of Les Paul. There were super cool murals and old buildings providing a fantastic backdrop for photos of the guys. I was with the girls at Merrill Hills Country Club where the ceremony and reception were being held. A beautiful location atop a hill overlooking the golf course. On top of all this, Jenny and Mike had so many awesome details to make their wedding uniquely theirs. Check it out!
This wedding was right up my alley. The entire event took place at an old barn that has been converted into and art gallery and wedding venue. Barnsite Retreat in Kewaunee WI is such a cool location! Kristin was donning a vintage 20's look which was so perfect! She looked amazing! And on top of that, Kristin and Rob got a gorgeous day for their wedding. Check it out!
This was my first experience with Indian culture mixed into a western wedding. Most everything was western, but Lillian and Kevin did change into different outfits, had henna, and other various elements worked into the reception. We had a gorgeous day and it was so fun! Lillian and Kevin's outfit change was so full of color and detail. Loved it! Our entire day took place at Eaglewood Resort and the gorgeous flowers provided by Bella Floral. I have to say, what stood out most to me was during the best man speech. Kevin's brothers were telling stories about him. without getting into detail, I realized then what amazing people I work with. Love my job and my clients. Enjoy your preview and enjoy your honeymoon in Greece!!
So much fun! I have photographed so many weddings that Connie has either been a part of or was attending. It was finally my turn to photograph Connie as she married her high school sweetheart, Austin. They have been together for 12 years! It was such a pleasure and so fun to see many of my previous brides and their families. An added bonus, Connie and Austin had a horse drawn hay wagon as transportation! I think Connie loves horses just as much as me. Enjoy your preview Connie and Austin! I had a blast!
My first wedding of 2014 - a winter wedding, which certainly didn't hold back on the "winter" part. I left behind a blizzard in IL to travel north to Port Washington and Elkhart Lake WI. While the snow had stopped, the temperature combined with the wind made for a pretty chilly day. However you would never know how cold it was outside if you were attending this wedding. There was so much love at the wedding. It was amazing. From the little notes and photos that Matt left for his bride throughout the morning, to the rest of their wedding day in which their hands never separated from each other. Such a great day. =)
