I don't post much... or anything really.. about the boudoir sessions I do. I do actually photograph these types of sessions. Most of my clients want to keep the images private for various reasons. I did however get permission to post this one, which I am thrilled about! So beautiful!
Last week I traveled to Seattle Washington to participate in the Free Me workshop by Candice Zugich, also known as The Blissful Maven. She's amazing. Her photos make you feel something. They are intimate and the connection between her subjects is intense. I love it. My goal was to see how she worked and was able to pull this emotion and connection out of people for the camera. So in love with these photos... Totally inspiring. Starting to scout locations so that I can take more photos like this. If you are interested in being one of my model couples, shoot me a message. Styling by Candice Zugich.
Every now and then I do work for small businesses. Last week I got together with the ladies of Whole Food Love who are in the process of rebranding. Love their concept of helping people make their lives healthy. Check them out! www.wholefoodlove.com
I had the most amazing day yesterday. I had the privilege of attending a workshop by Jasmine Star - a photographer from California that I am completely inspired by. It was hosted by Robin Rachel Photography in her amazing studio right across the street from Salvage One. Pretty much after the first 10 minutes, I thought to myself, jasmine is absolutely amazing and if the workshop ended right here, I'd be happy. Why? Because she was an open book. So real. So nice. And she hugged me before I knew what hit me. ha! I've heard about other photographers in the Chicago area that hold workshops and are horrible. They dance around answering specific questions and are just plain rude. Not Jasmine. Any question was answered. While shooting, she would tell her settings no problem. No secrets. I really didn't have anything specific going in to the workshop that I was looking to get. I was open. What ever she had to share about her experience and working with clients, I was a sponge. She confirmed some thoughts I had of my own, which gave me such a great confidence boost as to if I was doing it right. And of course she offered so many more great insights and ideas for being better. I could ramble on and on all day. So happy to be able to attend these workshops to better my business for all of you. Never stop learning! Always strive to do better! <3 you j*
I'm back from Japan and it was gorgeous! We got to see the cherry blossoms, which was on my bucket list. Please enjoy a few photos from my trip...
